Film Synopsis – Fast 9. After the events of the Fate and the Furious (Fast 8 film), Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and his family must face Dom’s younger brother, Jakob (played by John Cena), a deadly assassin, who is working with their old enemy, Cipher (played by Charlize Theron), and who holds a personal vendetta against Dom – what do you think will happen here?
There is too much to say and not enough to say at the same time. I do not want to give away any spoilers, but at the same time I want to completely blow your mind with this review…so here goes…
The film was jammed packed with explosive scenes, action, rides, and mayhem. Everything was executed the correct way; the cast members gave us the best movie possible and everything was so well put together! The movie was epic and very dynamic! The return of Han and how he came back to “our family” was remarkable!
Everything was explained. Ronan was still a fool and Tej still was the science expert. It was like time stood still and we all picked up like a family again, but with a new addition – Jakob Toretto. I was just impressed with the special effects in the film were “off the chain.”
I know that is an old saying and people do not say or use it any more, but I do not even care – it is very appropriate for this particular time! TRUST THAT! These films are all about family and sticking together and this one does that – as a matter of fact – they ALL do that and the bond just seems to get stronger and stronger with each film that gets made.
Nothing and no one stops them and it is like Ronan says, “are we invincible?” When he says that in the film, I am at a loss for words because he is a prankster in the films, but I did have to stop and think for a minute simply because he is right….as many of the crazy missions that these people have been on – they have never died and came out unscathed.
A few have faked their deaths and it has been explained in future movies, but really they have not dies, so do you think that he is really, REALLY, and really onto something when he said that in the film?
Something else that I loved and very much appreciated in the film was the flashbacks from past films and past characters in this film that made this Fast 9 film feel like a reunion film more than just like another Fast and Furious film – did you think that too?
That ending of Fast 9….let’s talking about that ending when the blue car showed up. We ALL knew who that was or was supposed to be…I know that they want to keep and honor Paul Walker and keep his memory alive and I totally can love and respect them for that but if they continue making these movies, what more can they do to honor him?
In closing, this is one film that you do not want to miss about Fast 9 and if you have an opportunity to see it in a special format such as IMAX, 3D, or Dolby – I say choose those over just seeing it regularly because there is nothing regular about it! NOTHING!
