Film Synopsis of “Arthur the King” → An adventure racer, Mikael Lindnord (Mark Wahlberg) adopts a stray dog named Arthur to join him in an epic endurance race!
Arthur The King
Kings are what? Loyal. What else are they? Survivors. They have endurance and the stamina to keep pushing forward and prevailing. Never being afraid or anything to stop them from spiraling downward. They have the strong self-confidence and determination to succeed and have the fight in them to do anything; esp. to lead. All of these characteristics that I have just listed are what Arthur exhibited in this very TRUE story. Do you think that it is odd – or even strange that animals have so much common sense and have the knowledge to know what is safe and unsafe; can be protectors, etc? That is what I kept finding such an extraordinary thing with Arthur while watching the film …how much he was protecting and guiding Mikael’s team. It also made me realize the crucial importance of both service and compassion for animals.
The Ride or Die Team
I was amazed that the team worked well together BOTH before and AFTER Arthur the King entered the picture! hey prevailed against all odds and wanted to win and be at the Number One spot! Do you think that they made it? And if so, was it because of Arthur’s help and guidance, or was it a joint team effort? You know, have you ever heard of that old saying, “Teamwork makes the dream work“? Personally, stop and ask yourself if you believe that for yourself to be true. Do you think that you work well in a team, even if it’s a team you don’t necessarily get along with everyone. Being in a team requires team concentration, planning, and most crucially working together and this team does just that despite unforeseen circumstances that were thrown into their plans.
The Columbian Cliff
There was a very strong and pivotal point in the film where I just felt chills run up and down throughout my entire body and it was because of how an animal such as Arthur The King was able to find a way to let his team know that they could not proceed in the first track because if they had they would have walked and fallen directly off a cliff. That magnificent animal did whatever he could to ensure that his team was protected and stopped them from continuing on. That takes all the brilliance and courage in the world – just as I said in my opening paragraph. All the magnificent qualities are suitable for a King.
Showing Compassion …Shows Love
Even though Mikael was NOT a dog/pet person …what do you think Arthur The King saw in him to make him levitate towards him? Did he sense his kindness? His warm spirit and generosity? Do dogs have a sixth sense like that? Showing compassion towards others shows simply love and love is what needs to spread more around the world and the one thing that Arthur showed to the team was the ability and capacity to love and to protect. The thing that was just astounding to me was how much cried anytime he thought he was going to be left behind by the team. He felt more like a human being to me in the movie than an animal because his feelings were always so obviously clear; at least they were to me.
Arthur’s Closing Remarks
I enjoyed the film very much & the fact that it was based on true events made it that more loveable and just a remarkable watch! There was only one flaw that I have about the film – Arthur had very abusive previous owners and there was no back history on that written in the storyline; it was only revealed once in the entire film. Besides that, I have zero complaints about the film!
Sounds like a great movie! There is no “I” in team, and Arthur sounds like the perfect doggie for the job!
You are SO right about that – BOTH points actually. There is NO “I” in the word team and King Arthur was and IS hte ideal dog for ANY job if you ask me!
I definitely believe teamwork makes the dream work; we can achieve so much together. Knowing you have a team of people who have your back. This movie definitely seems like a great watch especially with my LOVE of animals. I always felt dogs are so smart and they definitely have a sixth sense.. they will protect usually can sense when trouble is coming. I love it!
Sounds like you and I see eye-to-eye where dogs and basically animals are concerned esp. with them having a sixth sense! I really felt that with Arthur and to say that this is a true story film. It was so heart-touching and so much more. It was just an emotional and such a totally feel good movie!
I soooo wanna see this. I know I’m gonna have tears!!! Looks so good!!!
Yeah. I now that I had tears in my eyes. It’s that “puppy luvin” you know! Haha!! This is just a unique type of true story that I was not expecting to hit me as hard as it did in all honesty!
Everytime we saw the trailer for this I loved it! It really is magical the premonition dogs have and the love! I genuinely feel animals can feel our souls! Teamwork is what makes the world go around…no reason to do it all alone! Look foward to seeing this and I’ll text you when I get to the cliff part to see if I get the anxiety!
I’ll be hanging out on the edge of my seat waiting for your text! 🪜
