Film Synopsis of “The Forge“→ After graduating from high school without any plans for the future, Isiah (Aspen Kennedy) is pushed to begin making better life decisions for himself!
The Forge Is a Heart-Stomping, Inspirational, Heart-Pricking, Makes You Feel God, BELIEVE in ANYTHING, Forget About Your Worries, Give it to God, What YOU NEED Kind of Film & SO SO SO Much More!!!
The Forge! WOW!! I don’t think that I can write this review without getting emotional. I have seen so many varied amounts of Christian movies, absolutely – and some even were based on true events, but this one in particular …I know that it is not right to take the Lord’s name in vain. Still, the film is so motivational and powerful that I have to! It made me feel so good inside, so sad inside, so free inside, reminded me of my childhood, things that my father instilled in me ’til this very day about respect and how to greet people, eye gestures, respect, looking people in the eye, etc. I could write a novel just on one particular scene in the film – and I do mean ANY one scene!
Be A Fountain For “The Forge”
This kid, Isiah started as a kid who had nothing – wanted to go to school, did not respect girls, did not want a job, played basketball, had no responsibilities, etc. had no father figure in his life until one day his mother FORCED him to grow up and get a job and little did her know how much his life was going to change and how it took one man to see the potential in him that he did not see in himself and when that man, Mr. Moore asked him three simple questions that some employers ask on job interviews I GOT CHILLS RUNNING ALL UP AND DOWN THROUGHOUT MY BODY! I felt as if the film was catered to me and my life, but I did not have a childhood as Isiah not knowing what I wanted to do with my life and be a homebody. Everyone is different in that perspective. But as the film progresses onward, you see how this lazy, stay-at-home, who plays video games all day makes a miraculous turnaround in his life and gives everything to God.
People’s Interpretations
In life, people interpret the words in the bible so differently, hence this is why we have so many varied religions in the world today. But the scene where I was most impressed was when Isiah was reading the bible and he came across the verse where it said to put away childish things and things he did not need, he boxed up all of his video games. I was impressed with that but disagreed with that as well. I believe that God wants us to live a fruitful and successful life, but also wants us to do what we love, not let it consume us and take over our life; to have self-control and self-discipline and know when to stop. That was Isiah’s problem.
Bonding The Truth
I got so emotional as I saw him maturing as the movie progressed onwards and him winning over the Devil, choosing the right path, and his mother seeing the change in him. We cannot live our lives or others. We can only live it for ourselves, and WE have to want it – no matter how badly others may want it for us; WE MUST want to want it. Create a forge with others to remain strong and have that unity that you can go to – to uplift you in your time/s of tribulation.
Beautifully said and I agree you can work your tail off and still enjoy toys and video games! Life is all about portion control:)
Portion control is especially needed for all aspects of life; I most definitely agree there!
Indulge -but do it very demure very mindful
That’s all there is to it!
