From X … to Pearl …and now to MaXXXine. I never realized how much this girl aspired to become a Hollywood superstar or actress. To be honest, I hadn’t watched the previous two films and was unaware that they were part of a series. The trailer of this film caught my interest, prompting me to watch it. The idea of a Hollywood stalker on the loose, targeting and brutally murdering innocent young actresses, is chilling. The situation hits close to home when Maxine’s past catches up to her, bringing the events of the previous two films to life and emphasizing that very point. The film sets the tone for everything that happens in very good time sequences and the consequences of Maxine’s actions.
The Silver Screen Murdering!
The murders were very brutal and happening right there on the screen as gory as they come! You can believe me on this when I tell you that the killings are very brutal and horrendous – they happen in such an outrageous and vicious way that it reminds me of movies such as Kill Bill & any other brutal movies especially those of Quentin Tarantino. I always feel a certain kind of way when it comes to saying I love gory movies and killing because I do NOT advocate killing or violence in any type of way.

MaXXXine was a force to be reckoned with MaXXXine was a force to be reckoned with. Just when you thought she was a little scared little thing & couldn’t protect herself …she did it. She did just that! Every time someone would think about attacking, threatening, or assaulting her – she had herself covered. When she was in a very dark alley at night and afraid for her life, she encountered a man named Buster who was wielding a knife @ her and was coming towards her. Pretending to be terrified, what did she do, outsmart him and he underestimated our girl, here. That is what it’s all about, trying to outsmart those who think that they can pull one over on us but in fact, we pull one over on them!

Maxine Minx. The big superstar who wanted fame, Hollywood stardom, glamour, glitz, it all, the whole 9 finally got it, but at a cost. It cost her something she never thought that she ever could or would lose! Through the first two movies, you would think that it was just horror, but oh no, it was survival for sure!
