I have to admit that the moment the music started playing before the movie began, a wave of pure excitement washed over me. It felt like I was on the verge of experiencing a thrilling film reminiscent of a Michael Myers-style killing spree. Now, let me clarify: I in no way promote or condone violence, but I do want to shine a spotlight on one of the brilliant writers behind this movie—Christopher Landon.
Landon has a remarkable talent for intertwining humor with just the right amount of gore, creating a unique narrative style that captivates the audience. His films strike a delicate balance; they aren’t frightening in the traditional sense, yet they have a way of holding your attention that feels refreshing and engaging.

In Heart Eyes, we can observe that the main protagonist in the film, Ally, is obsessed with her ex-boyfriend, Collin. The heart wants what it wants and whom it wants. Do you believe that love chooses you & not the other way around? The Heart Eyes Killer allegedly only kills couples on the most cherished and romantic day that comes only once a year! Why? This movie had a nice and funny vibe! It was so classic to see one of the iconic characters from the Fast and Furious franchise, Jordana Brewster, in it. She plays Detective Shaw, and her partner is Detective Hobbs! Haha! When Ally says their last names and makes the movie reference, I wasn’t the only one cracking up in the theater; everyone else was laughing too! I love how the writers mixed humor, love, and some gory moments together to make this movie a total hit!
