…and so, the Challengers and the Challenging Begins …

Picsart 24 04 28 21 48 17 645 minIf you’re looking for a movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat, “top tier” is not how I would describe this film. However, Zendaya’s performance in Challengers is nothing short of “top tier” and worth watching the movie for. My recommendation? Give it a chance and see it at least once. While it may not have you anxious or in suspense, it has a mysterious vibe. You’ll think you know what’s coming, but then the plot takes a turn and throws you off your game. It’s a bit unpredictable, but that’s what makes it interesting. Trust me, it’s worth your time!

“Just Like This …”

Picsart 24 04 28 21 47 45 804 minZendaya’s portrayal of Tashi Duncan in the movie was truly captivating. The scene where she speaks to her husband, Art, on the night before his tennis match with his former best friend and his wife’s ex-lover, Patrick, is incredibly touching. Tashi’s words are the direct epitome of romance, allure, empathy, love, care, and non-judgment. Her words were so powerful that they could be applied to any relationship as a reminder of the importance of unconditional love and support. The way Tashi looked at Art after delivering the line was unforgettable. It was evident that her commitment to Art would never falter, no matter the outcome of this tennis match. This moment demonstrates the endurance of unconditional love, which can be a source of comfort and strength in any relationship.”

Tennis: Is It a Love or A Sport?

Picsart 24 04 28 21 47 09 295 minTashi was more than just a tennis player – she was a master of her craft, devoting her entire life to perfecting her skills. Her coaching and unrelenting will to succeed made Art the prodigy she was. Throughout the film, Tashi never backed down, fighting with tenacity and determination. Challengers is more than just a tennis story – it’s a symbol of the power of passion and dedication. If you have a passion and truly want to succeed, give it your all and never give up. Perseverance and tenacity are two very crucial attributes that I strongly urge everyone to have and develop to make it in the world today because giving up and surrendering is NEVER an option. NEVER!!!

The Challengers: Art Donaldson vs Patrick Zweig

Picsart 24 04 28 21 49 42 998 minI have a strong opinion about films, just like anyone else. I can appreciate an entertaining film and enjoy the backstory if it’s necessary to set the details in place. However, I detest movies like Challengers that go back and forth with different time loops and then fast-forward to the present. It’s confusing and frustrating to keep up with a movie that keeps jumping around: two years ago, then the present, then two weeks ago, one week earlier, and then 15 years ago. I cannot tolerate it! No matter how much I loved the movie, the acting, or the storyline, I found the constant jumping around unbearable. These two friends in Challengers were very close, but everything changed when Tashi came into the picture. There are some interesting twists and turns in the film that might surprise you if you haven’t seen the trailers, but they won’t shock you if you’re smart and have seen them.

My Challengers Conclusions

Picsart 24 04 28 21 48 56 874 minI’m sorry to hear that you didn’t approve of the ending of the film. I understand how frustrating it can be when an ending doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately, searching online won’t help much as the filmmakers left the ending open to interpretation. It’s up to you to decide how the story concludes. I know that some movies leave the ending unresolved, and this one is no exception. Just keep in mind that the story isn’t only about Tashi, played by Zendaya, but also about Art and Patrick. When you watch the ending, remember these characters and you’ll understand what I mean. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but I’ll say that my hints may be cryptic, but they’ll make sense after you’ve seen the movie. I hope that after you watch the film, you can come back and re-read my hints. Then you’ll see what I mean and understand the symbolism behind the film.

So from what I got from most of the review; it seemed to parallel as a Lucy/Dezi situation here. As you are aware Dezi was a boxer& fighter so as I was reading I couldn’t help but think back to this couple as nostalgic as it may be!

    1. What a GREAT obersavation! I never would have made that one, but as you are aware, I am sure a lot of things can be observed, missed, and overlooked. Good catch, though! Good eye! 👁

I love Zendaya! I’m wanting to see this one, but probably at home. I’m so glad you seen to like it!

Good to see her because by the time Euphoria comes back to Max in be drawing social security! J/k I’m not that old yet! LOLOL

    1. Who doesn’t. For a young adult whose only 27 years old. She carries herself with so much grace, style, and elegance. Far more than any other actress in this profession who is in their 50’s and older and that’s a shame. Why see it at home? Some movies are WORTH the cinematic experience – and THIS is one of them! I also know movies are expensive too which you’ve told me, so I get it too.
