Hey! Bite Me!!

Picsart 24 12 07 12 56 54 385 minI loved hearing Wesley deliver that line while battling the werewolves! It was epic and perfectly captured the essence of what werewolves are all about—biting and tearing through their prey. The film itself was decent; there were a couple of moments where I momentarily lost focus, but I quickly got back into it. Despite not being heavily advertised, it was worth a watch at least once. Anything featuring Frank Grillo is sure to be entertaining.

The Supermoon Event Led to A Purge

Picsart 24 12 07 12 54 17 028 minAnyone familiar with the protagonist played by Grillo in this film will recall his role in The Purge: Election Year. I found myself flashing back to similar events and lines from that movie, especially when the intercom announced everyone should lock up and stay safe. It reminded me of The Purge’s warning about 24 hours of legalized killing. I wonder if Grillo had any influence connecting the two films. Additionally, when the Supermoon event occurred, it triggered a gene in all humans, transforming them into werewolves and causing chaos overnight. To survive, one had to stay out of the moonlight.

The Test Subjects

Picsart 24 12 07 12 56 11 299 minDr. Aranda was on a mission to discover a cure for the latent gene embedded in every human, a gene that held the potential to transform them into beasts against their will. Could he have succeeded in this groundbreaking research? Did his theory truly prove valid? Did he go too far in his experiments? How did he find his test subjects? Were they willing participants, or were they coerced? Where did they originate from? The questions linger, demanding answers.

What Can Change The “Beast Within?”

Picsart 24 12 07 12 55 18 425 minWe all know the timeless truth that love and family are two of the most powerful tools and greatest strengths we have in life. Do you truly believe that, deep within your heart? Only you can answer that.

Consider the countless horror films in which the Devil seeks to infiltrate and possess a good person’s soul. Why does this happen? What allows the protagonists to overcome such darkness? It’s often because they possess love and goodness within them, which empowers them to prevail. Love is the ultimate antidote to these malevolent forces—there’s no other cure needed. Reflect on this the next time you watch the ending of a film.
