“Tron: Ares” Takes Us For A Spin From Deep Within!

Tron: Ares” Plot: A highly sophisticated program, Ares (Jared Leto), is sent from the digital World on a dangerous mission!

Power Up!

I have to share this scene because it was an absolutely breathtaking sequence, the kind that remains etched in your memory, especially for a TRON film. As I watched the thrilling interstate chase unfold between Ares, Eve, and Athena, adrenaline surged through my veins. I experienced this electrifying moment at the Early Screening Fan Event, where I enjoyed the film in stunning IMAX 3D. However, a word of caution: this cinematic experience is not for those who are sensitive to bright lights! The intensity of the visuals was staggering—at times, it felt as though I was engulfed by a dazzling burst of light, almost like sitting directly in front of a colossal IMAX Cinema Screen, where radiant beams danced right into my eyes! The sheer brilliance of the film left me in awe, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

Tron

Tron: Ares Chooses!

One intriguing aspect of this film is that Ares, the central character, is portrayed as an installed program rather than a genuine, living human being. This distinction highlights the complexities of artificial intelligence as it is entirely controlled and manipulated by Julian, a human who represents authority and control. This dynamic prompts an insightful comparison to our human experiences: in life, each person possesses the gift of choice and their own unique sense of “free agency.” However, many individuals often choose to accept being controlled by societal norms, expectations, or other influences that dictate their actions.

Julian Dillenger

What I found particularly fascinating is the moment when Tron: Ares realizes that he no longer wants to be at the mercy of Julian’s directives. Instead, he begins to forge his own path and take charge of his destiny. This turning point raises a thought-provoking question: isn’t this struggle similar to our own human experience? We continuously confront the results of our decisions, and while we understand the importance of autonomy, do we truly desire to have someone else dictate our actions, thoughts, and feelings? Or do we possess the innate capacity to think independently, determine our desires, and choose our own direction in life? This tension between control and autonomy resonates deeply, inviting us to reflect on our own choices and the influence of external forces in our lives.

Will Tron Return? Will Ares?

It’s utterly captivating to witness the conclusion of this TRON movie, especially when you stay through the mid-credit scene that teases an exciting potential sequel. The theme of being an individual with boundless choices and the power to shape one’s own destiny is profoundly inspiring. I was particularly struck by the character of Ares; although he was initially programmed to follow strict directives, he chose to resist that control. As the narrative unfolded, it became clear that he dared to defy his programming and pursue what was morally right. I must truly applaud that notion—it’s a testament to self-determination and integrity, and I believe you should as well!
