Film Synopsis of “Nightbitch“→ A woman (Amy Adams) pauses her career to be a stay-at-home Mom, but soon domestically takes a surreal turn!
What’s A Female Dog, Really?
Is it a Nightbitch, or just a Nightbitch in heat? LOL! This movie had all the potential to be both fantastic and hilariously entertaining, yet it ultimately missed the mark. Amy Adams delivered a commendable performance as a mother who longed to be a stay-at-home mom. However, once she achieved that dream, the dull routine of everyday life left her feeling unfulfilled and craving adventure.
The film clearly draws inspiration from “Batman Returns,” where Selina Kyle is surrounded by cats. Similarly, in this movie, the protagonist, known as “Mother,” is surrounded by dogs, leading to her transformation at night. This creative twist allows her to explore her inner desires and embrace a life that is free, wild, and adventurous!
We Are Gods! Not A Nightbitch!!
For as long as I can remember, the question of which gender is more powerful—males or females—has sparked lively debate. While there are many books on this topic, I find it nonsensical because everyone deserves equal treatment. Sadly, we know this is not the reality in our world today. Some may take minor grievances and amplify them, while others courageously fight for justice when they see wrongs, standing firm until justice is served. Men can perform jobs that women excel in, and vice versa. We all have strengths to contribute.
In one memorable scene, the character Mother, portrayed by Adams, inspires a small group of women by expressing her belief that women are like gods due to the incredible power they hold in bringing new life into the world.
Do We Call Men A Bitch If They Cannot Perform?
Now, they do not create the children alone – as we all very much well know; it takes 2, but I 100% agree with her – I don’t think that if men had to live in their girlfriend’s or wives’ shoes if they were pregnant should tolerate what they have to go through and tolerate for 9 months and give birth. Nightbitch is more than just about a mom having a life separate from her regular duties and routine – it’s about exhibiting balance and equality and seeing if a father who is not at home can do in a few days or even in a week what a single mother can do for weeks at a time when the father is not around. Placing yourself in HER shoes. Walking what SHE goes through every day, and that is why women scream and yell their frustrations out about their husbands/loved ones having no idea what they go through. They want them to experience it for themselves to find out!
Stereotypical Behaviors
It’s important to recognize that many people still hold the stereotype that women are not strong enough to handle certain challenges or tasks, believing that their bodies are unsuitable for various roles. However, let’s consider how transformative it could be if men could experience the journey of pregnancy and childbirth for nine months. If they could truly understand the physical and emotional challenges women face in creating families, it might foster deeper compassion and change in perspective. This idea reflects the wisdom of the saying, “Walk a mile in each other’s shoes,” encouraging us to empathize and build understanding across genders.
