Film Synopsis of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” → Miami Detectives Mike Lowry (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) investigate corruption within the Miami PD itself when their late Captain – Captain Conrad Howard is posthumously accused of being involved with drug cartels; a setup turns them both into fugitives forcing them to work outside the law to solve the case!
Bad Boys. Bad Boys. Whatcha Gonna Do?
I’ve been eagerly anticipating this movie since I first heard about it. Watching Bad Boys on the big screen again, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the first two films, rather than the last one from 2 years ago. Familiar background music and certain aspects were kept alive in this film, which was unique to the first two films. The introduction of Tasha Smith portraying the role of Theresa, Marcus’s wife, was an excellent choice. She is a fantastic actress, and her performance was captivating. The storyline where the boys of Miami work to clear their Captain’s good but complicated name added an interesting layer to the plot. Captain Howard’s character provided comedic relief, which added depth to the movie.
“Sweet” on Detective Lt. Marcus Burnett
I don’t know why Marcus can’t stop munching on sweets and Twinkies, stressing out his poor old heart. But hey, we gotta love him, right? It’s like candy gives Marcus some kind of superpower or energy to deal with anything and anyone. There’s this hilarious scene in the movie where he finally gets what he’s been craving – something sweet to put in his mouth, and it’s not his wife! Could it be Skittles? Jelly Beans? A hot dog? Whatever it is, it gives him such a massive boost that you’ll be in stitches, thanks to Martin Lawrence and his comedy. He never disappoints – always brings 100%!
Armando Aretas …Returns!
What do you think will happen with Mike and Armando? Do you believe they will reconcile and become the father and son we all hope for? Is that your desire as well? Must they express their love for each other to show affection? Protecting someone you love and care about should come naturally, as easily as breathing. When Mike knows his son is in danger, he does everything in his power to help. What is the most important thing a man has in this life? His name – he needed Armando to help clear Captain Howard’s good name before it was tarnished. That is true loyalty. It’s not just love; it’s loyalty, and that’s why Mike and Marcus are the Bad Boys. They know how to hold their heads up and get the job done, no matter the cost!
Inside Corruption
It was disheartening to discover why Captain Howard landed on Armando’s mother’s hit list. The unfortunate truth is that such occurrences are all too common. That’s why it’s crucial to exercise caution when sharing sensitive information. While trust is a valuable trait, it’s equally important to make astute decisions and rely on your instincts.
Case Closed Until???
As we wrap up another fantastic film from the Bad Boys franchise, I’m left in awe of Will Smith’s ability to consistently deliver outstanding performances. He’s like the Tom Cruise of this genre, always bringing a fresh perspective, sleek action, and maintaining his youthful appearance. Although Martin Lawrence still looks great, he doesn’t quite match the remarkable transformation of Will Smith, who manages to channel his Bad Boys 1 look from way back in 1995! The movie was phenomenal, and I’m eagerly anticipating another installment as long as the actors can keep up with the exhilarating pace. Huge credit to the captivating storyline and gripping action. My only wish is that Tiffany Haddish had a more prominent role, as her presence would have undoubtedly elevated the already stellar humor delivered by Smith and Lawrence. Until next time, Detectives…
I really enjoyed the movie, I completed forgot that there was a BB3, so at first watching the beginning I was lost with Mike’s “son”, and stuff, but things started making sense later on. Reggie and Mike’s son “I’m hoping” have a spin off. The movie was action packed, funny and enlightening as well.
I’ve seen ALL of the films and even if years pass by until they maek a new one, I will still remember “that Witch” from Bad Boys 3 – I always know where they left off at.
Nice. Can’t wait to watch it!
Thanks! I cannot wait for you to see it either, buddy. I really can’t wait until we get to see our movie together! Thanks for commenting!
Sounds like nostalgia played a huge factor in the success of this movie. It’s nice to see them bring back characters we loved for another story like Ghostbusters, I’m here for it!
